Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. Taylor Swift was born on the 13th of December, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a pop/country singer-songwriter for more than 20 years. The stories she tells of her young love and heartbreak have gained her widespread popularity during the 21st Century. Swift began to develop an interest in musical instruments as a young person and quickly progressed from playing in shows for children and then making her first public appearance public. When Swift sang The Star-Spangled Banner in front of an Philadelphia 76ers match at age 11 she had already begun composing songs. In the following year, she started playing the guitar. Swift got inspiration from musicians from the country genre, such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks as well as the Chicks to come up with original songs that reflected the loneliness she experienced at 13 years old. When she was 13 Swift's parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania in order to relocate into Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time in courting the country music labels near Nashville.
