Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar is one of the American and British sitarist. She's the smallest woman and also the first woman to be awarded a British House of Commons shield. Anoushka is a rising star in Indian sitar. She is both the student and daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in 1982, she was raised in London. Her early years were split in London in London and New Delhi. As a teenager, her first show at New Delhi took place. Later, in Encinitas CA she attended high school. She graduated with distinction in the year 1999. Even though she's very young Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording. Since quite some time, she regularly performs with her father. The singer released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy nominated album Live at Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing in all of the largest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't only a singer. She released Bapi The Heart of My Life, in 2002. The book is a biography which pays tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she was a part as a character in Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam performer. The career of Anoushka Shankar is in the process of developing and she will continue to achieve great success in the future. Anoushka Shakar, born in England lived the majority of her adult life in London Delhi. After moving to California she graduated from high school. at the age of nine she began her studies in music with her father. Her debut performance on the Sitar took place during her birthday celebrations for her 75th birthday in Delhi in the year following. Anoushka was able to gain a variety of valuable experiences as she traveled with her father during his worldwide tour. The tour included appearances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival and recording alongside George Harrison. She was the youngest and sole female recipient of the House of Commons Shield awarded by the British Parliament to recognize her musicianship and talent as an outstanding musician from music in Asian Arts.
