Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her character Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at Preparatory School. The late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She spent a year at the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student through Northwestern University. Anna worked in Chicago's theatre for several years, before trying out for film and TV roles. In 1992 Anna landed her first big character as Arden in the 29th episode of Down the Shore. As a guest-star, Anna appeared in Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. Then it was only in the latter part of 1990 that she took on a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. Skyler was Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully, the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the marriage he shares with Skyler can be seen in the television show.
